Terms of Use – OutfitReel
Last updated: 19 October 2026 · Version 1.0
Web version: https://outfitreel.pro/terms · Deutsch: https://outfitreel.pro/de/terms
1. Scope and provider
1.1 These terms govern your use of the OutfitReel iOS app (the "App") and the related services (together, "OutfitReel"). The provider is Expertive OÜ, Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia ("we", "us"; contact details in section 21).
1.2 OutfitReel is a platform on which users publish short outfit videos and link the products they show.
2. Relationship to Apple's terms
You get the App through Apple's App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA) applies: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms supplement the Standard EULA and govern the use of the community and content features. Apple is not responsible for OutfitReel or its content and is not a party to these terms.
3. Eligibility: 18+
3.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use OutfitReel. When you register, we ask for your date of birth to confirm that you are 18 or older (we do not store it); your information must be truthful.
3.2 If we have reason to believe that a user is under 18, we may block the account and delete it.
3.3 If you use OutfitReel on behalf of a business, these terms apply to that business as well.
4. Account
4.1 You need an account to publish content. You can register with an email address and password or with Sign in with Apple.
4.2 Provide accurate information and keep your login details confidential. Do not impersonate other people. You may only have one account unless we expressly allow otherwise.
4.3 Usernames must not infringe the rights of others or be misleading or offensive.
5. Free of charge
Using OutfitReel is free of charge. There are no in-app purchases or other paid features. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will inform you clearly beforehand; you will only have to pay if you expressly decide to make a purchase.
6. Your content and the licence you grant
6.1 You keep all rights to the videos, texts, links and other content you publish ("Content").
6.2 You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, show, make publicly available and technically adapt your Content (for example by compressing it, converting its format or adding a watermark), only to the extent necessary to operate and display OutfitReel.
We do not sell your Content, and we do not use it for advertising outside OutfitReel without your separate consent. The licence includes the right to involve our technical service providers.
6.3 The licence ends when you delete the Content or your account. It continues to apply only (a) to minimal moderation records that we have to keep (see the Privacy Policy), (b) to copies already saved or shared by other users before deletion, which are outside our control, and (c) where we are required by law to retain content.
6.4 Videos saved outside the App carry an OutfitReel watermark.
6.5 Your profile, your posts and your follower and following lists are publicly visible to everyone who uses OutfitReel; there are no private profiles (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Rights of others and people shown
7.1 You may only publish Content for which you hold all necessary rights, for example to music, images, logos and other protected material.
7.2 People shown: You may only publish recognisable images of other people if they have consented, unless a statutory exception applies (for example, under German law, where the person appears only as an incidental detail next to a place, § 23(1) No. 2 KUG). Consent is required in particular where another person is a focus of the video. Images of minors (persons under 18) require the consent of their parents or guardians.
Secret recordings are prohibited.
7.3 You are responsible for your Content. If a third party brings a justified claim against us because of your Content that you are responsible for, you must indemnify us against this claim, including reasonable legal defence costs. This does not apply if you are not at fault.
7.4 People who appear in a video without consent can report it with the "This is me" option (section 10).
8. Community rules
The following is prohibited on OutfitReel:
- illegal content of any kind;
- sexual content and nudity, and any sexualisation of minors (we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities);
- violence, threats, glorification of violence, terrorist content;
- hate speech, discrimination, harassment, bullying and doxxing (publishing someone's private information, such as their address);
- content that endangers health, such as glorifying eating disorders or self-harm;
- images of people without the necessary consent (section 7);
- infringements of copyright, trademark or other rights, including counterfeit products;
- misleading or unlabelled advertising, fake reviews and misleading claims about products (section 9);
- spam, fake accounts, artificial interactions (such as bought followers), automated access (bots, scraping);
- malware and attempts to circumvent security measures or our moderation.
9. Affiliate links and advertising
9.1 Creators can add their own affiliate links to products shown, but only to shops on our list of approved domains (an allowlist of approximately 135 well-known online shops and affiliate networks, for example Amazon, Zalando, About You, ASOS, H&M, Zara, Otto, eBay and Etsy, and networks such as Awin, Rakuten and CJ; shortened links are rejected, and we may change the list). OutfitReel automatically labels these links as "Anzeige · Affiliate-Link" (advertisement · affiliate link).
9.2 The creator who posts an affiliate link is the advertiser and is responsible for it. In particular, creators must:
- clearly disclose any commercial interest (for example commissions, free products, payments or other benefits) and must not remove or hide the automatic label;
- also label the post itself as advertising where the video as a whole promotes a product because the creator receives a benefit for it;
- comply with the rules of the affiliate programme concerned (for example the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement) and with unfair competition and consumer protection law (in Germany in particular §§ 5, 5a UWG);
- not make misleading claims about products, prices, availability or their own experience, and not make prohibited health claims.
9.3 We provide the labelling function and are not a party to any contract between creators, shops or affiliate networks. We may remove affiliate links or posts that violate these rules, remove domains from the list, or restrict the link feature for an account. Each creator uses only their own partner ID and is solely responsible for ensuring that using their links on OutfitReel is permitted under the terms of their affiliate programme; the programme relationship exists only between the creator and the programme operator.
9.4 We do not receive any commission or other payment for any link in OutfitReel. Creators' links are stored unchanged and open unchanged in your external browser; we do not add or replace any partner ID, and we do not log whether you tap a link.
9.5 Our own demo posts. To show how OutfitReel works, we, Expertive OÜ, publish demo posts that are generated with the help of artificial intelligence. Demo posts appear only on our official account @outfitreel ("OutfitReel by Expertive") and are labelled on the post itself as "AI-generated · Demo by Expertive". The people, outfits and scenes shown are AI-generated; they are not real users and do not show real people. Demo posts contain no affiliate links, and we earn nothing from them. They contain no reviews or personal experiences, and we do not use them to simulate likes, followers or other interactions.
10. Reporting content (notice and action)
10.1 Anyone can report content they believe is illegal or violates these terms, using the "Report" function in the App or by email to [email protected]. Reports are possible without an account by email.
10.2 Please include in your report:
- a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you believe the content is illegal;
- the exact location of the content (link to the post or profile, or username and description);
- your name and email address (not required for reports of child sexual abuse material);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the information and allegations in your report are accurate and complete.
10.3 If you appear in a video, choose "This is me". We will then check the video in light of your right to your own image and the GDPR.
10.4 We confirm receipt of your report if you have given us your email address, and we inform you of our decision and of your options for seeking redress.
11. Our decisions and statement of reasons
11.1 We decide on reports and on content we find ourselves carefully, objectively and without arbitrariness. Decisions are taken by humans. Before text is saved, an automatic word filter checks captions, tag labels, usernames, display names and bios; text containing blocked terms cannot be saved. Links are limited to the allowlist in section 9.1. We do not scan images or videos automatically. Reports are reviewed by a human; decisions on measures under section 11.2 are always taken by a human. The word filter only prevents text from being saved and is not an automated decision within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
11.2 Possible measures include removing or blocking content, restricting the visibility of content, removing affiliate links, temporarily suspending functions or the account, and terminating the account.
11.3 If we restrict your Content or account, we will inform you with a clear and specific statement of reasons (Art. 17 DSA), including the facts relied on, whether the decision was based on a report, whether automated means were used, the legal or contractual ground, and your options for redress, unless the content is deceptive high-volume commercial content or an authority instructs us otherwise.
11.4 When taking measures, we consider the rights and legitimate interests of everyone involved, including freedom of expression.
12. Internal complaint
You can complain about a decision under sections 10 or 11 within 6 months of being informed of it, free of charge, by email to [email protected] or in the App. We will review the decision again, taking your submission into account; the review is not carried out solely by automated means. We will inform you of the result without undue delay.
We offer this complaint procedure voluntarily.
13. Out-of-court dispute settlement
You can also turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Art. 21 DSA. As a micro enterprise, we are not obliged to take part in such proceedings. We will tell you in each case whether we are willing to take part. We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. Your right to go to court remains unaffected.
14. Suspected criminal offences
If we become aware of information giving rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, we inform the competent law enforcement authorities (Art. 18 DSA). In Estonia, this is the Police and Border Guard Board (Politsei- ja Piirivalveamet).
15. Measures against misuse
15.1 If you frequently publish manifestly illegal content, we may suspend your account for a reasonable period after a prior warning.
15.2 If you frequently submit manifestly unfounded reports or complaints, we may suspend the processing of your reports for a reasonable period after a prior warning.
15.3 We decide case by case, taking into account the number and severity of the violations and your intent. In serious cases (such as child sexual abuse material or terrorist content), we may take immediate action without a warning.
16. Points of contact (DSA)
- For authorities, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services (Art. 11 DSA): [email protected]
- For users (Art. 12 DSA): [email protected], and the Report function in the App. You will reach a human, not just an automated system.
- Removal orders under Regulation (EU) 2021/784 (terrorist content): [email protected]
- Languages: English, German, Estonian, Turkish.
17. Term, suspension and termination
17.1 The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account in the App.
17.2 We can terminate the contract with 30 days' notice, for example if we discontinue OutfitReel. We can terminate with immediate effect for good cause, in particular for serious or repeated violations of these terms or of the law. If the reason is a breach of these terms, we will usually warn you first, unless a warning is unnecessary under the law (e.g. in the case of serious violations).
17.3 Instead of terminating, we can take milder measures (section 11.2). We inform you in accordance with section 11.3.
17.4 When the contract ends, we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Availability
We provide OutfitReel in its current state and continuously develop it further. We may change OutfitReel's features for a valid reason (e.g. technical development, security, legal requirements), at no extra cost to you. If a change impairs your use more than insignificantly, we will inform you in good time beforehand, by email or in the App; you can end the contract at any time by deleting your account.
Temporary interruptions for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control are possible. Statutory rights in respect of digital services remain unaffected.
19. Liability
19.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence; for injury to life, body or health; under mandatory product liability law (including the rules implementing Directive (EU) 2024/2853); and where we have given a guarantee.
19.2 For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential obligation, that is, an obligation that makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on which you may regularly rely. In that case our liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
19.3 Otherwise, our liability is excluded. Statutory rights in case of lack of conformity of digital services remain unaffected. These rules also apply to the personal liability of our representatives and agents.
19.4 We do not adopt content published by users as our own. For such content, we are liable as a hosting service provider in accordance with Art. 6 DSA, in particular if we do not act expeditiously after becoming aware of illegal content. We are not responsible for the products, prices and services of third-party shops linked by creators.
20. Changes to these terms
20.1 We may change these terms for a valid reason, such as legal changes, new features or to prevent misuse. We will inform you of material changes in the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
20.2 If a change materially affects your rights, we will ask for your consent in the App. If you do not agree, you can delete your account at any time.
21. Governing law, jurisdiction, contact
21.1 These terms are governed by Estonian law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of that country (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation).
21.2 As a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and you can only be sued there (Art. 18 Brussels Ia Regulation). For business customers, Harju County Court (Harju Maakohus), Tallinn, has jurisdiction.
21.3 Contact: Expertive OÜ, Ruunaoja tn 3, 11415 Tallinn, Estonia · Registry code 16734170 · VAT ID EE102990254 · Management board member: Ömer Faruk Bayram · [email protected] · Legal notice: https://outfitreel.pro/impressum
22. Language versions
These terms are available in English and German. For users with their habitual residence in Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg or Switzerland, the German version applies; for all other users, the English version applies. Any translation into other languages is provided for convenience only; the English or German version applies.
